Is there anyway to limit the # of tags that get created with ABS, I just noticed that when schedule posting 100 articles there were over 1,000 tags created this seems a bit extreme to me, plus many of tags created were numbers even though there were no numbers in my posts tags like 000050, 00000060, etc.

Not All PLR is Created Equal 7 Years, 6 Months ago

Apparently the PLR I'm using has some strange carriage returns embedded in the content. Non of the text editors I was using displayed anything that looked unusual. If anyone else has this problem, the only editor I've found so far that reveals this is called ultra edit.
Some of the symptoms are titles that don't break with the first line, i.e. you can have a title that is hundreds of characters long.
Picking up hundreds of tags.
Picking up no article body, all the body is included in the title.
No breaks in paragraphs because the carriage returns are not recognized by AutoBlog editor.
I guess this can't be considered a AutoBlog software issue. It really is the PLR.
Only solution is use other PLR or replace the non-standard carriage returns with standard.

I think you did not unzip them properly? Try using Win Rar. Then open these text file with the standard Notepad application on windows.

Actually, what is happening is these files were created on a Mac, not sure what OS. But some WYSIWYG editors do not interpret the carriage returns properly. So the documents appeared to not have any carriage returns. So the entire document was imported as the title (with no body text). When I published them to my Wordpress site I would get thousands to tags returned.
Again, ABS preformed as I would expect it to and not to tout a software program but I was able to set Ultra Edit to auto-convert my plr files to "dos format". This still wasn't quite enough, I found that the new format would not be saved unless I made a change to the document.
Fortunately, Ultra Edit has a keystroke record feature and so as long as I made at least one physical change to the document it would save it as dos format. I'm sure other text editors have this too.
I don't want anyone to think that this is just an issue with the ABS editor. I opened the docs with Dreamweaver, FP, and Hot Dog. And they all showed the docs with no carriage returns.
I would imagine the new MAC OS's have probably resolved this issue.
