FTP Photo Uploads Issues 7 Years ago Karma: 0
I a hoping someone can lend some insight and guidance on how to properly set up the Auto Blogging Software to interface with FTP for the photo uploads. I set up the autoblogging softwarre which is working perfectly, with the exception of photos. I have FileZilla and cannot get the FTP interface to work correctly to uploads the photos associated with the auto-post (i.e. Amazon photos),

Can anyone walk me through the process (in an A-Z fashion) - for someone is who still fairly new at all of this?

Thanks for your help!

DWandler, bonjour...

Are your wanting to load photos into individual posts? If so, you can do that from within WP.

Or had you something else in mind?

Kevin he is referring to Blogger blogs which does not allow direct uploading of images so the software needs an FTP server to upload and referrence the images.

Actually the common mistake people do is, create an FTP account that logs into the root or public_html folder. Create an account that logs you in directly to the images folder and it should work fine.

Dear All,

I apologize --- as it was my failure for not being more thorough in my original post. The autoblogging software FTP photo upload works perfectly with my Wordpress website(s). I am having issues w/the photo upload associated to individual posts for Amazon product (or similar) w/my Blogger account.

I had created a folder for this particular Blogger account within an images folder of a Wordpress blog. I enabled the FTP feature in the Autoblogging software and entered the details to the images folder noted above.

If I understood correctly, will the photo then be posted to the Blogger site via the FTP? Currently, my automated Blogger posts have an empty space where the photo belongs and the text is wrapping around it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Best,
DeAnn

It is really simple. Create a new FTP account from your cPanel and while doing so, do you see an option to enter a folder for this FTP? That should be your images folder.

Most people leave that blank so when you login to the FTP account, it logs to the public_html or root folder. It should actually login directly to the images folder instead.

Sure I will try creating vids some time later.

Carty..
